Top 10 Free Weight Loss Tips
Free weight loss tips are a dime a dozen on the internet
today. How many of them actually
work? These free weight loss tips are
designed to actually work and can be easily incorporated into your busy
lifestyles.
And, most of these free weight loss tips offer up more than
weight loss! They provide you with
better overall health and loads of energy!
Get your antioxidants.
Antioxidants are found in the phytochemicals in fruits and
vegetables. They are imperative for
overall good health because of their ability to eliminate and neutralize free
radicals.
Free radicals cause aging, cancer and overall bad health and
fatigue. By taking in antioxidants, you
are providing the body with optimal health which will make weight loss efforts
far more productive.
Get a wide variety of vegetables! All vegetables contain different
characteristics. All of these
characteristics come from the phytochemicals in them. Orange vegetable contain a lot of
carotenoids. Green leafy vegetables
contain other phytochemicals.
All of these are designed to work best together. When you eat a wide variety of vegetables on
a daily basis, you are putting all of these together which will provide you
with the best defence against aging and the fatigue that goes with it.
Eat things the way Mother Nature intended. When we cook the heck out of our veggies, we
deplete the nutrients. All of those
gorgeous phytochemicals that make broccoli green and carrots orange end up in
the water rather than in you.
As well, when we over cook veggies, we break down the fibre
and suddenly all of that fibre that could be helping you lose weight is lost as
well.
Along the lines of the above tip, when you eat organic
foods, you also give your body a better chance to be healthy and lose
weight. Organic foods contain all of the
goodness that Mother Nature intended for us without the pesticides, additives
and trans fats that some conventionally farmed or manufactured foods contain.
Graze throughout the day!
You may have heard this before in regard to the 6 meals a day rather
than 3; however, upping that even more, why not eat small bites of healthful foods
throughout the day rather than sitting down 6 times to eat?
This is a tasty little trick. If you love ice cream, but don’t like what it
does to your backside or tummy, then trick yourself! Ice cream cones (so long as they are the
small variety) contain very little calories.
If you buy yourself a really small scoop, you can get the taste of ice
cream that lasts longer being on the cone without all the calories involved in
the large bowl!
If you must be naughty and have chocolate, eat dark
chocolate. Not only is it better for you
and generally lower in calories, but you can’t eat as much of it. It doesn’t melt in your mouth the way milk
chocolate does so it takes a bit longer to eat.
It also has a much stronger taste so you’ll be less likely to overeat.
Love iced coffee?
Some of those concoctions at your local Starbuck’s can top off at 500
calories a shot. I have a little trick
for you and it’ll save you the $5.00 as well!
Use your leftover coffee to make yourself a delicious, light alternative
in the afternoon.
By using a non-dairy flavoured creamer such as Coffee Mate’s
Hazlenut or Vanilla creamer, you can use a liberal two tablespoons and have
your creamy coffee beverage for less than 100 calories! Pour over ice and enjoy!
Explore the world of flavouring with little or no
calories: Pepper sauces, horseradish,
mustard and Dijon
mustards have little if any calories!
Not to mention the wonderful world of garlic, onions, scallions… oh
man! My mouth is having a flood!
Make it half. How
often do you finish what’s on your plate at the restaurant simply because you
don’t want to waste it? Split your meal
with a friend or order half a sandwich.
You may get a dirty look from the waiter until they realise that you
intend to tip for the full price!
