Healthful
Eating Has Added Benefits
The point is that the hot new diet trends are really all
about healthful eating. That’s because
people have finally figured out that there is no replacement for healthful
nutrition habits.
The hot new diet trends take your overall health into
consideration. We spend so much money
every year on trying to make our hair look better and our skin smoother, yet we
spend little time doing much for the inside of our bodies.
You may be young enough to not worry about cardiovascular
disease (or so you think!), but do you realise that most of the time, the way
your hair and skin look has everything to do with what’s going on inside your
body and very, very little to do with what’s going on with the outside?
It’s true! The
nutrients that we take in via vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean
proteins provide us with all of those wonderful components of healthful
cellular function and structure. We are
made up entirely of cells, so what goes on at the cellular level is entirely
responsible for how our bodies function as a whole. Diet trends realise this.
When our skin cells are damaged and weak due to poor
nutrition, our skin looks bad. It’s
dull, dry, fragile and discoloured. When
our skin cells are strong and elastic because of good nutrition, our skin is
luminous and firm! Diet trends will
offer nutrients for this.
You might be thinking that diet trends would indicate a
supplement. NO!
You can’t recreate Mother Nature in a bottle and think that
taking 25 vitamins in the morning is even going to come close to the secrets
Mother Nature has packed into a piece of fruit or a vegetable.
The point is that the hot new diet trends provide you with
all of these nutrients by advocating a diet high in vegetables and fruit.
Diet trends are also going down the path of whole grain
carbohydrates when choosing carbs rather than saying no carbs at all. Whole grain carbohydrates provide us with
energy for sustaining exercise. They
provide us with insoluble fibre which is essential for digestive health.
Diet trends are telling us to eat a variety of lean protein
sources. Today’s beef and pork are fairly
healthy choices so long as you choose leaner cuts. Poultry is still a good choice and seafood
including fish and shellfish are excellent choices!

Exercise
and Common Sense
Diet trends also recognise the importance of physical
fitness and exercise.
Most importantly, diet trends today realise that you don’t
have time for calorie counting, fat gram counting or anything of the sort. Today’s hot new diet trends support you
nutritionally and in a way that is easy to follow given such a hectic
lifestyle.
